Project Manager, Water Wastewater Asset Condition
Public Works - Water and Wastewater, Infrastructure Planning, Partnerships and Compliance
Status: Contract Full Time - 13 Month Duration
Salary Range: $100, 172- $125,213 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits)
Work mode: Hybrid* 1 onsite day per week and the ability to attend project sites accross the Region of Peel.
Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton, ON
Hours of work: 35 Hours per week
Who we are: Infrastructure Planning, Partnerships and Compliance helps achieve our mission of "Providing Clean Water for Life" by protecting and managing our water resources, planning new water and wastewater infrastructure to meet growth demands, asset management planning to maintain the existing $26 Billion infrastructure in a state of good repair, planning and supporting water and wastewater regulatory compliance and quality management systems. We build and manage strategic partnerships with the Local Municipalities, Ontario Clean Water Agency, Conservation Authorities, and other municipalities and external agencies.
Reporting to: Program Manager, GIS and Data
What you will do in this role: The Project Manager will manage large complex projects related to water/wastewater infrastructure assets ranging from $10 Million to $100+ Million, including Master Plans, maturity studies, water/wastewater infrastructure Risk Assessment studies and strategies and redundancy requirements, specific projects related to developing strategic plans, process/system relating to water/wastewater infrastructure replacement and renewal, review, develop and implement highly specialized engineering and decision making tools such as Hydraulic Models, Asset Prioritization Systems, develop framework and process for infrastructure planning with area municipalities and other divisions and departments.
What the role requires:
Position requires university/College degree in Civil Engineering, Geo Science or Earth Sciences
5 years of relevant project manager experience within water/wastewater infrastructure
Strong technical knowledge of water infrastructure and related functions (pressure zones, fluid mechanics, geology and hydraulics)
Skills/Abilities:
Leadership and project management skills to lead project teams in development of project scope, financials, deliverables and management of consultants
Collaboration skills to work with approval agencies and achieve consensus on project components/recommendations
Strong communication (verbal and written) to present project recommendations to senior management, Council, approval agencies and at public information meetings
Strong problem solving skills to evaluate stakeholder input with technical feasibility and develop appropriate and cost effective solutions
Able to delegate work distribution among project teams, coordinate logistics and develop short and long terms plans/strategies to meet deliverables of projects

Work Mode & Job Location: In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton ON worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
