Senior Business Systems Analyst 

Corporate Services – IT Solutions

 

Status: 1 Contract Full-time – 18 Months

Salary Range: $89,469 to $111,834 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits) 

Work Mode: Hybrid i.e. 1- 2 days on-site per week or as per operational requirements *see below for more details about this work mode. 

 

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst who has knowledge and hands on experience of Salesforce and Copado administration. 

 

In this position you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Multi-Org. Salesforce eco system in the Region to provide a secure and stable technological platform for more than 40 applications to facilitate the efficient service delivery to the citizens. You will participate in the analysis at enterprise, program, service, process, project or functional levels to advise on Salesforce related matters. The job incumbent will be assigned to administer the Region’s DevOps solution tool, Copado and maintain the Copado pipeline in good health.

 

 What you will do in this role:

  • Perform requirements management by managing requirements conflicts, issues and changes including appropriate communication between Technology department and business units to ensure stakeholders and project team remain in agreement and informed on the solution scope
  • Prioritize and progressively elaborate stakeholder and solution requirements to enable the project team to implement a solution that will meet the needs of the sponsoring organization and stakeholders • Assess proposed solutions to determine which solution best fits the business need
  • Conduct software assessments to determine if proposed software meets business needs and do cost benefit analysis
  • Identify gaps and shortcomings in solutions, and determine necessary workarounds or changes to the solution
  • Document the analysis outcome using formal techniques such as workflow diagramming
  • Use case analysis, process mapping and conceptual information/data modeling amongst others
  • Develop/assist with the development of business cases to properly justify projects or efforts intended to bridge the gap between the business needs and an implemented solution  Translate the functional or user requirements into system concepts and system specifications including the determination of non-functional requirements and technical constraints  Depending on the type of approach (package purchase - custom development), you may also carry out directly or indirectly activities such as writing of technical specifications for RFPs, solution architecture and design, build, system test or technical acceptance from vendor, user manuals, technical documentation, and solution deployment
  • Assist with usability and solution acceptance testing to ensure agreed upon requirements are properly supported by the delivered solution, and conduct Threat Risk assessment (TRA) as required 

What the role requires:

  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Business Administration 
  • A minimum of 5years’ experience of being a systems specialist with focus on the administration and maintenance of a multi organization Salesforce platform.
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator/Certified Advanced Administrator
  • Nice to have Salesforce Platform App Builder certification,certifications of AppEx tools (e.g. Vlocity, ServiceMax), and Copado Administration certification.
  •  
  • Strong knowledge of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules.
  • Proven experience of Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports.
  • Hands-on experience of sandbox environment management.
  • Understanding of triggers/Apex code knowledge
  • Solid DevOps/release management experience with Copado
  • Proven knowledge and experience to maintain platform health and Identify unused or underutilised platform features
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce security frameworks to advise and resolve security vulnerabilities of Salesforce platform.
  • Strong knowledge and solid experience of proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, ad hoc patches, Health Check, and Optimizer
  • Knowledge and experience of Shield implementation and ongoing support works
  • Knowledge of Data management to improve Salesforce data quality including the skills of using data loading tools.
  • Criminal Record Check is required for this position

*Work Mode & Job Location: In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton, ON as the primary work location. The frequency and location of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.

 

It's important to note that your remote work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
