Job Description

Regional Courier

Corporate Services Department – Real Property Asset Management Division

 

Status: Contract Full-Time – Until January 31st, 2026

Pay Band: $42,665 - $53,330 per annum

Location:10 Peel Centre Dr, Brampton, including travel to various regional and non-regional offices.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

 

The Regional Courier will be responsible for pickup and delivery of mail related items to various regional and non-regional offices.

 

In this role you will:

  • Pickup and/or delivery of mail related items, including:
    • Canada Post and inter-office mail to and from Regional and non-Regional offices
    • Registered mail to/from Canada Post
    • Special scheduled requests to Regional and non-Regional offices
    • Vaccines to various health clinics
    • Water samples to Health offices
    • Print & Copy Centre orders to Regional offices
  • Secure handling of goods and files, including confidential files
  • Perform daily safety checks and schedule vehicle for routine services and repairs as required
  • Communicate with both internal and external clients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • One (1) year of courier or fleet experience is an asset
  • Must possess a valid “G” license and a good driving record
  • Previous experience working in a delivery/courier type role in the transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of Regional roads, the ability to read and follow maps, excellent road navigation skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills when working with clients and staff/team members
  • Ability to lift and move large packages and/or boxes up to 40 lbs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Ability to demonstrate good judgment
