Water and Wastewater – Program Planning and Compliance

Status: Regular Full-time
Salary Range:
$78,336 - $97,920 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton

Hours of work: 35 hours/week


What you will do in this role: 

The Content Management and Records/Information Specialist will act as the functional lead for projects and initiatives which involve analyzing and organizing digital content and records for the Water and Wastewater programs; applying and enhancing the community (user groups) and; security (permissions) model to all stored content. This position is considered the subject matter expert in information/records management practices, and the Region’s records and information management system.

  • Analyze client requirements and determines appropriate content solutions
  • Lead projects, specializing in content analysis and automation using modern tools & technologies
  • Logically organize and visualize content for its optimal use
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and team members to enhance partnerships
  • Facilitate functional requirements gathering sessions and documents findings
  • Analyze document content, metadata
  • Taxonomy design and solution development
  • Prepare and execute functional test plans
  • Deliver training
  • Develop process documentation for clients
  • Deliver functional support and client consultation
  • Liaise with technical and Records Management personnel
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of content management processes, practices, principles and system functionality
  • Ensure that content management procedures and protocols are current
  • Monitor emerging trends, standards and guidelines related to content management technologies and practices
  • Participate as an effective team member for troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Information Management principles

 

What the role requires:

  • University or college graduate in information management or related discipline with minimum three (3) years experience in electronic information management, specifically document and records management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Practioner level certification in Taxonomy and Metadata (TXMP) considered an asset
  • Practitioner level certification in Enterprise Content Management (ECMP) considered an asset
  • Able to travel to various Regional locations

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency with information and records management software, preferably content server AND the Microsoft Office 365 platform.
  • Detail orientated, practical problem-solving abilities, ability to proactively identify opportunities and quickly implement solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills related to document content, metadata and functional requirements.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster partnerships with clients and technical team.
  • Strong team player with excellent customer service skills along with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to handle fluctuating workload, conflicting priorities and concurrent activities.
  • Able to work independently and has the desire to learn and share knowledge with team members.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement and make decisions within scope of position
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and design future-ready products

Work Mode & Job Location: In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton worksite. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.  It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
