Status: Regular Full Time

Salary Range: Non Union, Band I $103,175- $128,969 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits)

Hiring Range: $103,175-$116,072 per annum

Work Mode: Hybrid; 2 On Site days per week which can increase based on operational needs *see below for more details about this work mode. 

Location: 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga ON

Hours of work: 35 Hours per week

Reporting to: Manager, Planning and Performance Peel Housing Corporation

 

What you will do in this role:  

  • Provides specialized expert guidance and advice to management and staff, on Business Process Management as well as the creation, implementation and evaluation of process improvement initiatives, tools and resources aligned to the operational and strategic direction of the department and organization and to the annual budgeting process
  • Develops and executes an implementation plan to build divisional capacity for business process management including change management (communications, training etc.)
  • Through change management initiatives and personal leadership, develops and fosters culture of innovation and continuous improvement compatible with the departmental and corporate culture and values
  • Define and develop process owners and champions at a senior management and front-line staff level through training and coaching
  • Leads the implementation of the HTI program, establishment of monitor measures and control limits (process performance targets)
  • Monitors and provides extensive analysis of complex process performance information statistics, including those pertaining to workload volumes, client satisfaction, cycle time, unit hour activity etc
  • Participates in, leads, and/or guides process improvement initiatives offering coaching support and/or direct supervision as well as quality analysis reporting to resources and teams both within a bargaining and non-bargaining environment
  • Responsible for advising on the development and maintenance of operational process improvement related approaches, including policies, standards and guidelines
  • Support corporate business process management efforts liaises with corporate partners
  • Participates in large-scale projects, programs or events which require collaboration with a variety of internal/external resources

What the role requires: 

  • A satisfactory Level 1 Criminal Record Check obtained directly from a police station (third-party background checks will not be accepted).

  • Requires a university degree in a related discipline such as housing policy, business, public administration, applied statistics or mathematics, combined with quality management knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience developing business process models, and facilitating process improvement initiatives 
  • Process certification at a senior level in the field of Quality or Business Process Improvement by a recognized institution (i.e. American Society for Quality, Six Sigma etc.)
  • Expert knowledge and experience applying Business Process Management, improvement methods and tools
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with sound knowledge of applied statistics
  • Strong understanding of database structure, management and usage
  • Ability to create and interpret graphical display of data combined with an ability to express complex concepts effectively
  • Experience working with various types of data and related analysis to support quality improvement
  • Firm knowledge of the public sector and associated challenges working in a multi-stakeholder cross-jurisdictional government environment
  • Experience with performance measurement and research methodologies
  • Proven ability in applying organizational change management principles and methodologies
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered

Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong collaborative, consultative leadership style with a demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and superior skills to be able to negotiate and persuade stakeholders to achieve buy-in
  • Experience working within a project environment with sound knowledge of project management methods and practices is required
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem solving abilities combined with demonstrated judgment, tact and diplomacy skills
  • Strong communication skills to engage in sensitive communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

Nice to have:  

  • Lean six sigma black belt certification is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of the Human Services industry is a preferred asset
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, legislation, compliance programs and risk management is an asset

Work Mode & Job Location: 

 

In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.

 

It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
