PeopleSoft HCM - Business Process Analyst

Corporate Services - Human Resources

We are looking for an enthusiastic Analyst who promotes collaboration, teamwork and meeting client and business objectives.  


The role……………..


Coordinates work and conducts tasks leading to the implementation of the Region of Peel’s Human Resources Management System (HCM) and to support the ongoing business and operational needs of Human Resources and other divisions. Facilitates the process of identifying user requirements to develop system processes and meet user needs. Provides training, education and technical support to users on features, functionality and processes.  Leads the review and redesign of HR business process. Recommends system design and functionality.



  • Responsible for the functional development and utilization of Region’s HCM system
  • Designs and documents business processes
  • Researches and assist in implementing new HCM enhancements and/or functionality
  • Facilitates and documents new and changing user requirements
  • Collects and analyzes business requirements and identifies gaps; provides options to solve for the gaps
  • Identifies cost effective solutions to meet the needs of users and identifies options for processes
  • Coordinates work with IT services and PeopleSoft on the implementation of system enhancements
  • Coordinates the development of system solutions with IT services to meet client needs
  • Consults with business leaders and subject matter experts for problem analysis and solution design
  • Assists in the redesign of forms
  • Maintains configuration of PeopleSoft foundation tables
  • Prepares test scripts and test system functionality; including end user testing 
  • Participates in application technical and functional testing to ensure adherence to business requirements
  • Troubleshoots and researches HCM system problems and escalates as required
  • Provides functional support to users, subject matter experts and business leaders on features, functionality and processes
  • Provide guidance and training on PeopleSoft security to end-users
  • Prepares training material and trains users
  • Develops and refines documentation (training guide, user guide etc.) to meet client needs
  • Prepares specifications used by developers



  • University degree or diploma in related discipline with at least 3 years related experience with HCM systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with configuration of PeopleSoft HCM application version 9 or higher
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Security utilizing application version 9.0x in HCM
  • Knowledge of project methodology for implementing technology solutions
  • Experience in gathering requirements, determining system gaps, designing modifications, designing business processes, developing system specifications, and system testing
  • Experience implementing PeopleSoft HCM modules including requirements gathering, configuration design, configuration, and testing is preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, research and problem solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills with the ability to train users
  • Strong consultation skills
  • Experience delivering end user training, is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills 


Contract Duration: approximately December 2018

Work Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton

Hours of work: 35 hours /week- Monday through Friday, 8:30 am -4:30 pm
