Job Description


Primary and Advanced Care Paramedics

Peel Region Paramedic Services


Available Positions

Temporary Part Time: up to sixty (60) vacancies of a duration of up to twelve (12) months



Peel Regional Paramedics are recognized leaders in pre-hospital care, innovation and research.


Each year we respond to over 110 000 calls, bringing cutting edge interventions and medical knowledge to our community.

The Position 

  • Primary Care Paramedic Hourly Rate:  $36.52 /hr- $38.80/hr
  • Advanced Care Paramedic Hourly Rate:  $40.92/hr- $43.46/hr
  • Days, Peaks, Nights (12 hour shifts) - up to forty two (42) hours a week
  • Flexible part-time schedules, as well as long/short-term assignments following platoon rotations are available



  • Qualified to work in Ontario as per the Ambulance Act (
  • Diploma in Ambulance and Emergency Care OR graduate from an approved Ontario Primary Care Paramedic training program no later than June 11, 2018 OR completed equivalency process
  • Minimum A-EMCA or A-EMCA pending
  • Advanced Care Paramedics MUST be currently certified as an ACP and in good standing with an approved Ontario Base Hospital Program
  • Valid Class “F” license OR equivalent that meets the requirements of the Ambulance Act
  • Valid CPR certification at the HCP OR BLS level
  • Applicants must hold a successful Physical Agility Evaluation (PAE) Summary Certificate, conducted by Sibley & Associates, completed no earlier than October 13th, 2017. For more information or to schedule an appointment for a PAE fitness test, please contact: 1-800-363-8900 or online at:
