Project Team Assistant 

Regular Full Time

Do you have a keen interest in Construction Project Management?


We are looking for a dedicated & hard working individual with Construction Administration experience, who is detail oriented & displays effective team work, to support the Construction Management team on various projects & initiatives across the Region of Peel.


This role will report to the Program Manager of Construction Project Management section, and provide administrative project support services to the project management team as well as data entry. This position will play a fundamental role to support the success and achieve the outcomes of each project.



  • Carry out project setups and closures under the direction of the Project Managers
  • Create and maintain electronic and paper filing systems: project correspondence, scanning project documentation, financial reporting and archiving
  • Process Payment Certificates and track invoices
  • Prepare and review project financial reporting
  • Communicate with project management on project administrative matters
  • Obtain/prepare and update WSIB and insurance certificates
  • Review new hire orientation with new employees
  • Submit paperwork for new hires/sick leaves/transfers
  • Process time and absence administration requests using HRMS
  • Cover and support other Project Team Assistant’s role during their vacation/time off
  • Other responsibilities relating to the position as required 


  • Successful completion of a post-secondary secretarial or administrative assistant program plus a minimum of three years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and able to deal well with changing tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment, work independently and act as a back-up for other Project Team Assistant
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Construction administration experience considered an asset 

Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton
Hours of work:  35 hours per week, Monday to
Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
