    Job Description

    Asset and Contracts Coordinator

    Digital and Information Services- Client Delivery

    Contract Duration- Approximately Thirteen (13) months


    Reporting to the Supervisor Program Service, the Asset and Contracts Coordiantor be responsible for responding to Contract Administration requests and provides support and consultation services to Management and staff through the procurement and contract development process.



    • Develops ongoing policies, processes and strategies to ensure the effective administration of Technology Goods & Services contracts
    • Reviews complex work requests, determine next steps and provide informed information
    • Maintains general knowledge of purchasing by-laws
    • Maintains a thorough knowledge of Program policies as relevant to IT Purchases and monitor and analyzes new initiatives
    • Identifies, analyzes and evaluates impacts to current policies, changing policies, programs  and legislation and develop recommendations
    • Provides information and analytical reports to the Management Team
    • Program analysis including the development, implementation and evaluation of purchase of service standards, performance and trends
    • Works collaboratively to maintain close and effective working relationships with other Regional staff, service users and vendors
    • Works with purchasing, risk management and legal department in the development of procurements and legal agreements
    • Prepares cost analyst and vendor compliance reports
    • Oversees the preparation of legal documents, purchase orders and invoices
    • Provides direction on relevant information to all staff


    • Two (2) year College Diploma or University Degree within Computer Science or IT plus three (3) years work experience in IT goods & services, legal and purchasing
    • Working knowledge of IT policies, programs and processes
    • Working knowledge of purchasing, contract, document, risk and legal bylaws and processes
    • Extensive knowledge of multiple computer applications, including but not limited to MS Office, Access, Visio, MS Project and PeopleSoft, Adobe Acrobat, HP Ticketing System
    • Strong writing skills to prepare reports and information papers for a variety of audiences and verbal skills

    • Able to consolidate, analyze and summarize contract budget, investigate causes of budget variances, prepare projections, and recommended future purchasing strategies

    Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Suite A, Brampton

    Hours of Work: 35 hours per week - Monday through Friday
